Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

If your kids like chocolate chip cookies as much as we do, they will LOVE the giant version! We used vegan butter and allergy-friendly chocolate chips to make it safe for everyone at our house. So easy and freaking delicious!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 egg or egg replacer

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Prepare pizza pan with vegetable pan spray.

  • In large bowl or stand mixer, combine butter and sugars on medium-high speed until fluffy.

  • Add egg and vanilla and mix until smooth.

  • Add in flour mixture until combined, then fold in chocolate chips.

  • Spread dough onto prepared pan.

  • Bake 18-22 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan on cooling rack for five minutes. Remove from pan and decorate if desired.

  • This recipe gave us an additional nine cookies that I cooked separately on a baking sheet for nine minutes at 350ºF.
