I was so cute when I thought I was tired before kids. So cute.
— Me, every damn day
THERE’S NO HOOD LIKE MOTHERHOOD.
I hope you like what you find here, but if not, I don’t offend easily, so we can totally still be friends.
From be-bopping cheerleader to journalist, boy-mom to blogger, I’ve been a few things in my life. It was easy to lose myself in the day-to-day of taking care of everyone else, so when I decided to dust of my creativity crown, my passions were reignited and I. Was. Back. Move over, messy bun. Mama’s ready to shine.
I felt accomplished, valuable and dare I say, beautiful. If having a space to share the good, the bad and the giggles with other mamas, gives anyone a sense of community and understanding, I’m so here for it. I’m happy you’re here and hope to inspire you to plug-in to the woman you are meant to be, too.
Motherhood is one helluva ride, so let’s hang together, compare notes and cheer for each other along the way.
SOME OF MY FAVES
Online shopping is the best. I’ll add four more items to my cart just to avoid paying $5 for shipping, and then never check out because I can’t commit.
A hot Chai tea latte is my favorite morning ritual. But after the kids go to bed, give me a chilled glass of moscato. The fruitier, the better.
Music: anything from the 90s, unless my kids are in the car, then it’s all Disney. Also, The Absolutely Not podcast with Heather McMahan. The. Best.
Travel faves: Disney forever. But also Bermuda, St. Thomas + Banff. I’d love to get to Europe and Hawaii one day. Anyone want to babysit?
Can’t Live Without
My Bed
On the rare occasion little people don’t raid my room in the middle of the night, I get the best sleep on my bed. Being able to customize each side has been a dream.
Me Time
My brain has 100 tabs open at any given time. From school project or work deadlines to grocery lists and being everyone’s personal chef, having time to myself helps me to rest and reset.
Sweet Treats
Fresh fruits and veggies are a staple in my family’s diet. From smoothies to snacks, my fridge is basically a mini produce department. Also, chocolate. Yum!
